Henceforth, this award will be officially renamed the Jim Harris Sr. Founder’s Award.

CIRI Establishes Jim Harris Sr. Memorial Fund for Cleaning Research
When John Downey sent word to CIRI’s members and supporters of Jim Harris Sr.’s passing, the response from Rich Steinberg, ProTeam’s Vice President of Sales, gave him pause:
“John, is there a way to donate to CIRI as a way to honor Jim Harris Sr.'s memory and his contributions to CIRI?”
After a meeting with CIRI’s Executive Committee, it was decided to establish the Jim Harris Sr. Memorial Fund for Cleaning Research. For those aware of the tens of thousands of dollars Jim Harris personally donated to CIRI during its many moments of need, this fund is a particularly fitting
memorial. He was dedicated to the importance of cleaning
science as the way forward for the industry — and he
literally put his money where his mouth was.
